Online Drive through the 23 neighborhoods of Vancouver BC this summer as if you were in your car. http://ping.fm/zSnX9

Wow, this is a great idea. It will weed out unethical sites.

I Like that fact that I can get a review on a company or product that I plan to do business with right away. What a time saver.

2010 Olympics valuable travel info from a Vancouverite

$85 to $159 per night per couple range still available. If you procrastinated and waited until the last minute to plan your trip and accommodations to the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver  don’t despair there are still plenty of reasonable places to stay and you can still get cheap flights on short notice.

I found this gem in North Vancouver that had easy access to all Vancouver venues and to Hwy 1 heading to Whistler. It was only available due to a cancellation. I am not sure if it will be available by the time you read this but it is worth a call. The rate is $360 + taxes per night for 2 people during the Feb 12 – 28 Olympics. It is called the Grandmanor Guest house built in 1909 but beautifully renovated. Apartment 5 is the only suite left. Details are on my website.

I   was concerned about the snow conditions for the upcoming 2010 Winter Games. It has been so warm her in Vancouver that people aren't even wearing coats. I just read in the newspaper that January broke all records in Vancouver for warmest January in Vancouver's history!  Talk about Murphy's law.
On February 1 a decision was made to truck in snow from over 100 miles away and on Feb. 2 it snowed!
They are pushing the snow down from a higher slope to the lower slopes.  Click here for a 3D view of Cypress Mountain where snowboarding events are going to take place.
News Flash
Yesterday I was doing some research on how to advertise on the internet cheaply and I just stumbled upon on some information on how to get free pay per click advertising on Google and other search engines on this link.

To date I have listed 37 places which are comprised of RV parks, motels, and hotels.

Another real gem I found for those independent young souls who want to stay at a hostel is a place called American Backpackers Hostel right in downtown Vancouver for $100 per night during the Olympics. One of the rooms has a big sign on the door that says "SEX ROOM" but I think it's just a joke, anyway there is a picture of it on my website. And... you can even stay at the Jimi Hendrix Shrine for $100 a night.

According to their website this used to be his grandmother's restaurant where Jimi spent his childhood.
Now that's something I never knew, I should check that out one day. Perhaps the first twangs of his guitar echoed through those streets. To give you an idea of how old I am, I actually attended one of his concerts live dressed in the latest stripped pants, fuzzy hair, and square tinted glasses. What I wouldn't give for some of that hair back now.

The lowest rate for an actual motel suitable for human habitation was $85 per couple per night in Langley which is about 40 minutes away from Vancouver where all the action is. The next lowest was $125 per couple in Coquitlam which is about 30 minutes from Vancouver. The highest rate on the site is $649 per couple per night which I decided to throw in just for shock value, heh, heh!

Don't worry, I never listed any place where the cockroaches move the mattress around on the floor. I am still updating the site at this time with rates so check it out from time to time.

As I side-note I feel really bad for those poor souls in Haiti right now who would be lucky just to travel down the street let alone to another country. If your thinking of flying there yourself to help out click the link at the top of this blog for a cheap way of getting there.
